The Agyagfalvi Memorial House awaits the visitors with exhibitions and panoramic views.
The Agyagfalva Memorial House, inaugurated on October 16, 2019, at the suggestion of Professor Lajos Demény and established by the Agyagfalva1848 Foundation in 1994, welcomes visitors with exhibitions and panoramic projections. Though a permanent schedule was not arranged initially, it now hosts diverse exhibitions, daily programs, and panoramic projections, inviting enthusiasts to the site of the historic Szekler National Assembly on October 16, 1848.
Within the memorial house, visitors can explore exhibitions focusing on Szekler military history, the functioning of Szekler self-government, and the decisions made during the Agyagfalva assembly of 1848, which saw the participation of 60,000 Szekler delegates. The circular room features a panoramic projection illustrating the events of the 1848–49 revolution and war of independence in Szeklerland. Additionally, a conference room adorned with panels depicting revolutionary events in Szeklerland offers an educational film about the Agyagfalva events.
The memorial museum, dedicated to the 1848-49 revolution and war of independence and the Agyagfalva National Assembly, stands on the former assembly site in the Agyagfalva meadow. Agyagfalva hosted numerous Szekler assemblies, among which the ones in 1506 and 1848 hold particular significance in Szekler history, as legally binding resolutions were adopted on both occasions. The museum showcases the Agyagfalva National Assembly, Szekler military history, and valor through contemporary documents, along with a permanent exhibition providing insights into the events of 1848.
